Eklutna Lake Elopement With Candlelit Picnic & Canoe
Don’t you think lakeside picnics are so romantic? What about candlelight? Canoeing? Well, what if you put them TOGETHER?! You hit the romance jackpot that’s what!! This candlelit picnic elopement will give you all the vibes!
Jordan from AK Happenings and I put our heads together very last minute to create a romantic picnic elopement scene. We wanted something unique, Alaskan, romantic, and just all-around beautiful, and I think we hit the nail on the head.
Styled shoots are not only creative outlets for wedding vendors to let all the ideas flow out, but they also serve as inspiration for couples planning their big day. We encourage all of our couples to think outside the box and look deeper into what their day could TRULY look like. If you’re the kind of couple that enjoys spending time on the water and outdoors in general, as well as a romantic evening eating good food and drinks, then I have a feeling this will serve as some inspiration for all the possibilities you could include on your elopement day.

Jordan & Matthew started the evening with a little canoe around the lake, taking in the sights, enjoying the surprisingly warm fall evening. Fall is generally not known for its warm temperatures in Alaska, but this warm mid-September evening was a pleasant surprise.
