Chloe & Mike’s Intimate Mountain Elopement
About the Couple
I ask all of my couples to tell me a little about how they met & their story, on my website’s contact form. Simply because I’m a sucker for a good love story, and it helps me get to know them right off the bat!
Plus, it gives me a sweet story to tell about their love in their future wedding blog post, completely in their words 😉
Here’s what Chloe wrote to answer this question:
“Mike and I met early in 2020! It was one of those crazy little Tinder dates and we went to the dog… and walked around for hours. We both knew we were made for one another. Days after that Mike left for a work internship for 3 months. We grew closer and closer.
When he returned we have been inseparable ever since. One of those “if you know, you know and why wait”. He’s funny, outgoing, life of the party and always has me laughing. I’m more calm, always thinking, and friendly.”
She noted that for their wedding day, they wanted to be surrounded by one of the most beautiful landscapes in the country, alongside their closest family – and that’s exactly what they got!
The Hatcher Pass Wedding
Chloe and Mike chose Hatcher Pass for its incredible scenery and landscapes. So, they wanted that showcased on their wedding day & in their photos. It turned out to be the perfect location for their big day!
When I tell you these two were just all smiles and emotions on their elopement day, I mean it. It was so sweet to watch them interact and just be together, taking it all in. Throughout the day, Mike was so attentive to her and keeping her warm, since it was a foggy and drizzly day in the mountains – talk about super endearing to watch.
Every detail of this elopement was intentional, especially the bourbon – yes, the bourbon! They both really love watching the races, so they bought unique bottles to celebrate that.
From the moment they started getting ready, to when they read their vows in the mountains, to getting out the cake and champagne, Mike and Chloe were very go-with-the-flow. And that always helps wedding days go smoothly no matter what: you’ve got to be prepared for anything! They were laid-back the entire time, and totally trusted my recommendations and judgment for every photo we took.
After their ceremony, we drove up to Summit Lake to explore the area. I don’t think any of us could have wiped the smiles off our faces if we tried. It was just the perfect morning in the mountains with good company and incredible views!
