When Soren contacted me about his and Jecoliah’s Girdwood elopement last year I was so excited! They put together an intimate ceremony at Our Lady of The Snows chapel down by the hotel and then finished the evening with dinner up at Seven Glaciers. It was a sweet day filled with their closest family and friends and so much happiness. Soren and Jecoliah are such a great pair. I loved getting to be a part of this adventure of theirs.
Contemplating a Girdwood Elopement?
Trust me, you won’t regret it!! There is no shortage of beautiful places for photographs. The entire town is surrounded by mountains and greenery, and totally spectacular. If you’re not quite feeling the mountaintop vibes, no worries! There is also Moose Meadow which is pictured below, Virgin Creek Falls, a riverbed area and plenty of woodsy areas! If you don’t mind a hike the entire Winner Creek trail is gorgeous and has a hand tram. There are several bridges and lush green forest everywhere that makes it absolutely magical too.

Planning to Elope in Alaska?
If you’re looking into an Alaska elopement and looking for chapels and open to a little travel, the Shrine of St. Therese is similar in coziness, although it is only a Catholic church. But if you’re down for a Girdwood elopement, then Our Lady of The Snows is super nice!
