Rohith & Parthi’s Story
Rohith told me a little bit about their story in his inquiry, which I absolutely loved reading! He & Parthi met during undergrad in their school’s library, and he said he fell in love at first sight when he saw her passing behind the books. Talk about cute!! He said she has the most beautiful curly hair and big pretty eyes. So sweet!
Rohith & Parthi have always loved adventuring together in the outdoors, and he wanted that to be captured in his proposal to her. I was honored to have been chosen to photograph this special moment in such an epic location!
How We Planned It
When Rohith reached out to me, it was literally only a couple of weeks in advance! We concocted this whole plan to surprise her: it was their first time visiting Alaska, and they wanted to go on as many adventures as possible.
I basically pretended to be a tour photographer as a part of their helicopter tour package and said I was coming along to get candids of them & do a little shoot. We were crossing our fingers she wouldn’t figure out what was happening. . .
The Glacier Proposal
And while we were out on the glacier, he popped the question! She was so surprised and it was the absolute cutest! They played in the snow and had a blast witnessing Alaska’s beauty from a totally different perspective than most people. I’d say Rohith’s vision of a surprise proposal in an epic, adventurous location came to life perfectly! I am still swooning over all the photos.
