I knew I had to see the Shrine of St Therese while I was in Juneau last week for a session. As a result, my friend Cordova took me on an adventure around the area and this was our first stop! This chapel has been on my radar for a long time, ever since I saw it on Instagram. The architecture transported me to somewhere in Europe, which I still need to finally visit. It was so peaceful and whimsical. We walked down a path surrounded by beach and rocks and onto what looks like an island. It essentially was. The chapel stands on its own little piece of land full of lush trees and greenery and is just so gorgeous. It would be the perfect location for a ceremony if you’re having a Juneau wedding.
The Shrine of St Therese, nestled in the forest of Juneau would be the perfect destination for your Juneau wedding. You should definitely check this venue out if you’re thinking of getting married in Juneau. As a photographer, there are a lot of things that I think make up a lovely ceremony site or wedding venue. A few of them are good light, nice architecture, the scenery at the ready for portraits, etc. This little area has all of that and more!
If you’re on the hunt for a photographer to be a part of your special day, I’d absolutely love to hear from you and go over all the details! Let’s chat!
