Hey, I'm an elopement photographer based in Alaska! I love genuine moments between people and love that I get to document them for a living <3

Meet Donna

This Hatcher Pass engagement session from early this year was one for the books! Spending the afternoon exploring Hatcher Pass and Reflections Lake with Mikylla and Riley was such a breath of fresh air, very very cold -5 air as a matter of fact haha! Despite how cold it was we had a blast! We simultaneously celebrated their engagement session and kicked off the new year with some sparklers. They also brought their pup, Morgan. It was the best! Thinking about bringing your pet to an engagement session? This is for you.

We started off outside in the snow, which I trampled down since it was waist height. It was pretty hilarious making our way through it, you would have laughed! If this doesn’t scream dedication I don’t know what will 😉 After we were sufficiently chilled from the deep snow, we wandered inside the Hatcher Pass Lodge(NOTE- As of 2024 they are very strict on their photography policy and I highly recommend calling or emailing to get permission as shooting on their private property would be trespassing). I don’t know about you, but this is probably my favorite little cabin in the mountains. The iconic red A-frame lodge and surrounding cabins are so awesome and photogenic. Did you even have a Hatcher Pass engagement session if the red cabins weren’t included? Who knows!

When Mikylla and Riley aren’t looking abso-freaking-lutely adorable in front of the camera they are out adventuring together with their dog Morgan or snuggling by the woodstove sippin’ beer and playing board games. My kind of people right here!

Thinking about a Hatcher Pass Engagement?

“We had the perfect engagement session experience with Donna. She’s super personable, will accommodate special requests and locations, and always prompts the perfect poses and moments to capture unforgettable memories. We felt super comfortable around her (despite it being -5 degrees) and loved how prepared, yet spontaneous she was. Thanks for the amazing experience, we’ll hopefully be seeing you on our wedding day 💕”
