Hey, I'm an elopement photographer based in Alaska! I love genuine moments between people and love that I get to document them for a living <3

Weather Matters

Would you believe it if I told you that this was shot in December of 2017?! Well, crazy enough, it was! It straight up looked like fall out on the river bed that day after a huge thaw we got. Chelsa and I were living for it though! It was windy and rainy, but Jordan and Steve toughed it out just for this couples session. In true Alaska fashion. I had so much fun shooting with them that I hardly noticed the cold, it was so worth it! The Matanuska Riverbed was the perfect location for the weather we were having that day.

Don’t be afraid to venture out into the weather, sometimes it creates magic more than just a sunny day could ever provide.

Jordan and I met during a boutique photoshoot in 2017 and it has been so awesome getting to know her. We’ve done lots of fun shoots since then and I’m also doing personal training over at her awesome new studio, Innergy. Photography is a fairly active job, but it has always been the driving force behind wanting to get stronger. I wanted to be able to hike more, carry more and give more to my sessions without feeling like I was dying. My only problem is that I lack motivation when I’m alone, but Jordan make’s it so easy and I’ve come so far in just the year! I’m so thankful for her encouragement and hard work! Now I just need to convince them to hop in front of the camera for another couples session again 😉
